Ingredients :

For the shallots:
1 tsp. almond butter
2 shallots, thinly sliced Dash
For the trout:
1 tbsp. almond butter
2 (4 oz./113 g.) trout fillets
3 tbsps. capers salt
¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
¼ tsp. salt Dash freshly grounds black pepper
1 lemon, thinly sliced
For the shallots:

Directions : 

1. Place a skillet over medium heat, cook the butter, shallots, and salt for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
2. For the trout:
3. Meanwhile, in another large skillet over medium heat, heat 1 tsp. almond butter.
4. Add the trout fillets and cook each side for 3 minutes, or until flaky. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
5. In the skillet used for the trout, stir in the capers, lemon juice, salt, and pepper, then bring to a simmer. Whisk in the remaining 1 tbsp. almond butter. Spoon the sauce over the fish.
6. Garnish the fish with lemon slices and caramelized shallots before serving.
